You will be accountable and responsible for generating and nurturing leads and qualified opportunities on behalf of the company sales function. You will own a segmented pipeline and be responsible for progressing leads to sales, as-well as growing the overall sales pipeline.

Main Responsibilities

As a New Business Executive you are responsible for identifying, creating and nurturing new qualified sales opportunities as an integral part of the company sales team. You will become a trusted resource and develop relationships with prospects, acting as the main point of contact in their sales journey. This role will be focused on target prospects that fit within ICON’s key criteria across the world but predominantly focussed on Europe.

  • Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Perform persistent outreach through digital outreach primarily – LinkedIn, emails, and social media
  • Be able to clearly and articulately deliver ICON’s value proposition
  • Pitching ICON’s services and tailored best-fit-solution
  • Preparing bespoke solution quotes and proposals for pipeline leads
  • Support with RFP responses
  • Assist in negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
  • Identify and effectively communicate business cases where required in order to maximise the value of a contract, increase the propensity for the contract itself, or to create urgency in gaining commitment and project commencement
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Positively contributing to marketing discussions to ensure relevant messaging is being delivered to target verticals
  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunities
  • Preparing and executing prospect persona analysis, prospect planning and pursuit plans for prospects
  • Provide in-depth information to the sales team to enable the most qualified lead progression of priority prospects
  • Maintaining all contacts/opportunities and recording all progress in company CRM
  • Ability to understand customer pain points and accurately assess the value for both the company and customer
  • Attending meetings and on occasions, conferences and industry events

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • 2+ years of successful experience in a BDR/SDR role, preferably in BPO Industry and/or service-based sales
  • Experience presenting and/or working closely with senior and/or c-suite level personnel is preferred
  • Strong understanding of BDR and lead development best practices, methodology and procedures
  • Excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • A tenacious high energy attitude
  • Ability to demonstrate proficient skills in verbal, written, and social media management
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic
  • High level of integrity and a strong commitment to building a successful company
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Adept computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, namely Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Experience with CRM applications preferred
  • Business studies or equivalent experience – Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
